At a high-level video conference of EU Transport Ministers. The “green” corridors are meant to guarantee the fast and easy transport of goods of highest importance and of medicines in the period of strict border control on EU’s external borders introduced because of the pandemic. At the video conference, the European Commission has presented a list of actions aiming the non-interrupted functioning of the European Single Market. Among these actions is the free movement of transport workers, the “green” corridors, flexibility in the rules on driving of trucks and the rest of drivers, as well as requirements that the Commission is informed before any steps are taken. Commissioner Vălean announced that the transport ministers have agreed to create a contact point in each country in order to strengthen cooperation.
